2. 5We had an incredible stay at this property. Completely surrounded by nature – the ocean and sunset at the front and the mountains at the back – it was perfect. We visited in winter and the fireplace was nice and cozy. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was more than enough space for all of us. The house has its own pool and beautiful outside veranda facing the ocean and sunset. They also have beach towels and bikes if you want to take a little ride up to the coffee shop. It felt private but also in the midst of what we wanted. Our host, Storm, was responsive and helpful and Theresa so friendly when she popped in for a midway clean/check-up. Highly recommend this property – summer or winter. we will be back!

5. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It almost sounds like an exaggeration, but this place is genuinely breathtaking. The location is unbeatable—right on the beachfront. You literally open the door and step onto the beach. Waking up to the ocean views and sounds every day was an incredible experience. The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and exactly as advertised. We had an unforgettable stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.

6. 5Kære Storm Vi har nydt vores ophold i denne unikke bolig tæt på havet og Cape Town. Vi blev mødt af en smilende Therese, som sørgede for, at vi følte os hjemme, så snart vi var installeret. Ifm. bookning havde vi forespurgt om babysenge og babystole – og disse var tilstede, da vi rykkede ind. Der manglende nogle småting i køkkenet, men dem sørgede du for uden tøven. Vi har alle (6 voksne og 2 babier) nydt opholdet i dette fantastiske hus, som ligger et stenkast fra den vidunderlige by Cape Town. Vi vil uden tøven forsøge at komme tilbage. Venlig hilsen Storm

8. 5Hi Storm, I don’t know how to start by saying, that I felt so sad by leaving this beautiful Bungalow with the most amazing sunset views. Our family had a such a wonderful time. We felt right at home. We all totally relaxed after few hectic days. I am very grateful for that. Thank you so much for being such hospitable host. The location was perfect. We will definitely come back!! I will recommend this place a thousands times!! Best place ever!!  

9. 5We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful accommodation. The place is super cozy, very tastefully furnished, and the location is amazing – directly on the beach. It is incredibly quiet and peacefully situated, making it a truly dreamy place to relax.
   The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful at all times and made us feel very welcome. Check-in and check-out were super easy, and we were even allowed to stay longer on the day of departure, which we really appreciated.
   The accommodation is perfect for four to six people, and we felt completely safe throughout our entire stay. We would absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

11. 5Your bungalow was perfect for our family of 5. It’s very close to restaurants along camps bay. Very easy to find. Best part was the beach right in front where we could watch the sunset at the comfort of our own home. The home was very clean, with clean towels and full kitchen amenities provided. Host was very responsive and my messages were all replied promptly.

13. 5We really enjoyed staying at the Beach Bungalow. It was absolutely PERFECT for our couples holiday. An Ideal location. We loved being right on the beach, with constant security patrols we felt very safe. Everything we needed was in the house from hairdryers, to beach bags and even two bikes! A lovely plunge pool ( which was slightly warmer than the sea ).
    It’s the kind of place where you just want to hang out on the veranda and admire the spectacular coastline view.
    We have stayed in a few houses now in the Bakoven/ Camps Bay area this is by far everyone’s favourite!
    We are already planning our next stay here.

    Our stay was nothing short of incredible! The house was exactly as shown in the photos — actually, even better in person. Everything was spotless, beautifully styled, and truly one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed in.
    Storm, the host, was amazing — so friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to accommodate us, making everything effortless from start to finish.
    The location couldn’t be better — having a kids’ park right behind the house was such a win for our family, and the Bootlegger coffee shop just a 3-minute walk away was a daily treat. Coffee on the beach every morning, just steps from the house, felt like a dream.
    The swimming pool was fantastic, and every little detail in the home — from the utensils to the appliances — made life so easy and comfortable.
    We genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. This home is a gem, and we absolutely cannot wait to come back!

    The bungalow is in the perfect spot – easy walking distance to Camps Bay yet in a quiet spot directly overlooking the Ocean. It was a dream to step directly out to the boulders and watch the most beautiful sunsets.
    The hostess, Storm, was very quick and helpful to respond and even organised extra heaters in the home for chillier evenings.
    I truly hope to be back again soon.

20. 5The villa is very beautiful with an amazing sea view. It offers great privacy, though sometimes tourists may pass by the rocks near the sea and see you from a distance. The neighborhood is lovely, gated, and feels very safe.

22. 5We had an amazing stay at this property! The house is an absolute gem, and we loved every moment of it, especially with our kids. Storm, who we communicated with, was extremely responsive to all our requests and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect for water lovers, with a beautiful residential area offering incredible views, especially during sunset. There’s also a small playground right across the house for the kids, which was a nice plus. Everything in the house is of great quality, and we felt right at home. The kids absolutely loved it too. Thank you for such a wonderful experience ?

23. 1wanted to clarify that I did not stay at the villa due to a change in my travel dates. Unfortunately, you did not confirm my arrival or follow up regarding my check-in, and I was surprised that you are now requesting a positive review.
    Other hosts I dealt with were very understanding of my situation and returned at least half of the amount I paid. I believe it would only be fair for you to do the same, especially since I didn’t use the villa at all.
    I feel disappointed by the lack of understanding, and I must say this has left a very negative impression.

32. 5We so loved staying here. Location second to none. Amazing sunsets and Mountain View’s. A few minor issues at beginning were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The staff who were dealing with any problems always quick to respond.

36. 5We spent a lovely week at Bakoven! The house is situated in a quiet and safe area, Camps Bay beach is only a 12 minute walk away! We are missing the house in bakoven and would love to come back!

37. 3Location is great, walkable to Camp Bay but description is deceiving in that the lovely front door described as the Enterance does not open along with a few other doors that would make the entire unit open plan from all sides.
    The side enterance had to be used which is very small and tight especially if you have a pram.
    I had to have their maintenance guys come in 3 times in the 4 nights which not ideal when you trying to have a break and relax. The stove has needed replacing, the stove plate was faulty, the internet was terrible such that 1 tv couldn’t be used and no salt was provided.
    Towels and linen are provided at a bare minimum with no beach towels.
    I paid for a cot and it wasn’t there when I arrived.

41. 5We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this well appointed, tasteful home. The spectacular setting made it hard to tear ourselves away to explore all that the area has to offer.
    Attentive and responsive service was much appreciated, and the proximity of Camps Bay restaurants and Woolworths ( for groceries) made for an easy, carefree experience.

42. 5The Bungalow lodged our family of four perfectly: each boy had a room and bathroom, and so did my husband and I. It was perfectly clean, charmingly decorated and very comfortable. There is clear architectural input in its design: it is generous with space and very functional.
    It really is on the beach: you see and hear the waves exploding against enormous magnificent boulders, that framed a spectacular sunset every evening of our stay. The spot is so beautiful that it seems to be a destination for locals or savvy tourists: there were always a few people wandering by or celebrating the beauty of the sunset, but their presence did not impact on our privacy or sense of safety.
    We loved every instant of our time there!

43. 5The house is absolutely stunning, in a really peaceful, quiet location. By far the best part are those lovely sofas outside, where you could literally sit all day listening/watching the sea crashing against the rocks and see stunning sun sets. There is also a gate from the property to the beach/sea and lovely beaches are a 5 min walk from the property. WiFi was great, beds are super comfortable, gorgeous bath and shower room upstairs plus one room with en suite downstairs and one room with bathroom next to it downstairs. Location is perfect for exploring Cape Town. We were only there for three days but managed to see quite a lot The check in was a tiny bit bumpy as the cleaners were still there when we arrived, however we were glad to be able to put our suitcases down and it didn’t take long for them to leave. The host was very responsive to messages. I would definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Cape Town! Thank you for a lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay.

44. 5Probably one of the most beautifull locations in Capetown. The house is litteraly at the Camp Bays shore. From the poarch, where you have nice big sofas, you have the best views over the ocean and the amazing sunsets! There are 3 good rooms with private bathrooms and good beds.
    A nice kitchen and very comfy living room.
    Its also a very safe area, which feels very nice in Capetown. The house also comes with a parking spot (handy).
    Final shout out to the Propr people for great management and follow up.
    I would totally recommand this place! one of my better stays!

45. 5What a find. Gorgeous home with stunning views of Lions head and on the water. Everything is brand new. Extra attention given. Coffee, milk , ice, wood for fire and charcoal for braai. They even brought us another router when the wifi was weak. Would definitely come again

48. 5We had an amazing stay in Bakoven. The property is exactly as shown in the pictures and has everything we could possibly have needed for our visit.
    Greatly appreciated and unexpected was the water, milk, tea, coffee etc that were supplied.
    We only used the upstairs master bedroom which had air conditioning and a beautifully big and comfortable bed.
    When it came to bathrooms / showers etc we were spoiled for choice and there were plenty of fresh linens available.
    3 steps down to the kind of cliff / rock shore front, from where you can be on the sand in a couple of minutes. Bakoven beach is small but very pretty. It probably took us 15 minutes to walk around to Camps Bay where there is a huge sandy beach and an abundance of restaurants, grocery stores etc. We had great meals in Bovine, Zenzero and Tigers Milk. You can also catch the red city sightseeing buses from here.
    We had a fantastic stay. The property is very comfortable, in a great peaceful location & we loved it.

51. 2Overall we did have a lovely stay here because the location with the view out the back of the house is stunning, however there were several things which could have been much better. I do not therefore think this is worth the money we paid
    The check in was hectic-we felt like the lady showing us round did not know anything about the property. We had very little introduction and instruction about the house. We arrived at 3pm and staff were still cleaning the house.
    Small details were missed-no bin bags, no washing liquid-things which we feel should be included in an air bnb.
    The internet was not working and there were numerous maintenance men in the house the day after we checked in trying to sort this. This made is difficult to relax.
    The swimming pool was not filled and it was dirty-it took 24 hours for pool maintenance to come and sort this.
    The bike needed to be fixed before we could use it.

52. 5Gorgeous location, easy to get to, and stay for days without wanting to leave. The home was thoughtfully and beautifully designed for a relaxing holiday. The porch impressed us the most, as on a very windy day we could sit out there comfortably until the sun went down…sunsets really are stunning from the porch!
    Uber eats delivers within minutes and the walk to Camps Bay was within reach for shopping or meals. We would love to stay here again!
    The only thing about the location that was off-putting was the homeless people sleeping in the cave rocks on the beach and the woman with her child that came down our ‘alley’ twice begging for food. We felt safe but it would be more secure if there was a gate with a lock at the front near the car park.

54. 5We spent a week at this property and must say it was fantastic and we had zero complaints. The home was very clean, as described and with accurate photos. The recommended transfers were great, and an easy Uber to get around the city. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

62. 5Had amazing stay. Beutiful on the seafront with incredible views. Location was perfect reaching all the hotspots quickly and easaly. We did not had the best weather, but the house was cozy and the fireplace was great. When we visit Cape Town again we will definitely do a revisit.

    The customer service was very good.
    The response was quick enough.
    They helped me to understand load shedding and told me about the app. , also assessed me with wifi when it was not working.
    The property has kitchenwear and applications, beach towels, hats, kids’ toys, umbrellas, and bicycles.
    Also, emergency battery for load shedding time.
    I like the instructions binder.
    Some of the kitchenware were not clean, and the kitchen door was stuck.
    There is shamphoo but no conditioner
    I suggest adding heating to the 3rd room as there is no heater.
    We want to come back for sure in the future

68. 2Pro’s; location is top notch, can walk to camps bay front/beach in 5/10 mins, great coffee shop round the corner from house, view from balcony is INSANE, house is decent size and clean. Con’s; the bars next to the unlocked front door that allow people to see right through into the property with full view of inside is unsafe and encouraging for the locals who are begging – we experienced this first hand with them reaching through the bars shouting for money/food/a lift (this happened on our 2nd to last night & didn’t think worth moving out for 1 night so we doubled down on trying to feel more secure on our last night), after the barriers next to the front door is inside glass doors floor to ceiling wall to wall which are locked but still feel unsafe as mentioned above can see through – I have told the host this already, host is unhelpful and takes too long to reply, groceries weren’t in at check in and was the biggest deal getting them 6hrs later! NOT load shed proof – no lights or tv.

69. 5What a stunning location for a cottage! Right on the boulders of Bakoven and perfect for sunsets. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and more (hats, bags, bikes…), and check-in and out was very easy. It was great to be walking distance from Camps Bay. Perfect!

72. 4We had an amazing stay. It was lovely and completely as described. Everything was beautiful and very clean. Great location. Incredibly beautiful. A few things for families with younger children. While you are on the water, it is not sandy beach. That is on me for not fully understanding that/asking more questions. My kids were bummed to not have a great place to play in the sand right outside of our place. The main camps bay beach is not far away so it’s not a huge deal but if you are thinking I can just walk out and be on a beach, it’s not quite that. The boulders however in front are stunning and gorgeous and it’s beautiful to watch the sunset there. The other thing is the laundry is in the basement and there is a hatch you up open and go down very steep stairs to get to it. It’s all fine, and easy enough, just something to be aware of if you have littles. All in all we would recommend this place and if I could have given 4.5 stars I would have. Thank you for a great stay!

76. 4Beach house in absolutely stunning location in first line to the sea with amazing views. In our opinion, one of the most beautiful spots to stay in Cape Town. We felt at home immediately and enjoyed the tasteful beach house feel of the place. The house was not perfectly cleaned on arrival but the cleaning service was very responsive and fast to come. Service staff was very responsive. We didn’t cook much so we didn’t mind that the kitchen is only minimally equipped. Internet works also during load shedding, the alarm system does not.
    We would definitely rent this place again.

77. 4A lovely spot in one of our favorite Cape Town neighborhoods. Beautiful view of lions head from the porch and gorgeous outdoor shower!
    There were a few small issues with the kitchen, bikes and pool that I’m sure the host will sort out. The master bedroom is enormous; the two bedrooms downstairs are quite small but very tastefully arranged.

78. 5An excellent home. Perfect for convenience, and has a well thought out design. As one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve stayed in, it had everything you’d need. A high-end cottage at the ocean in the perfect location in Cape Town. The hosts are very helpful and readily available. I will definitely return.

79. 5Absolutely loved this house. The location is perfect, just outside of Camps Bay so away from the noise, but walkable. Access to both Bakoven and Beta Beach, which were generally quiet when we were there in November. Watching the sunsets from the rocks was particularly special each evening. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is really well stocked with glasses, pots etc. There is a small children’s park outside the house so perfect for young families. So many spaces to entertain if there were a few of you staying at the property. The only downside for some might be the lack of a door to the master suite (in the eaves upstairs), but it didn’t bother us. The pool area is also the perfect sunspot and guarded from the wind. Loved the area so much I’d consider a much longer stay. Thanks to the team who were super responsive at all times.

    A beautiful home for a relaxing holiday.
    The property is very well kitted and we had everything we needed for our family, including two little babies…. We are in Cape Town very often and this was definitely our best holiday rental thus far and we hope to be back soon.

81. 5What an incredible gem. Our family and friends had the most amazing time at this secluded spot together. It had everything we needed and is close to all the places and activities we wanted to experience in Cape Town. The place had more than enough room for our family and our kids loved being able to rock climb and explore the beautiful surroundings. Camps Bay is walkable. We enjoyed daily walks to go and have lunch and enjoy the beach at Camps Bay. Our hosts were excellent and quick to resolve any minor hiccups we had checking in. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again soon!

84. 5The house was amazing! Every corner of it was well detailed and it was very clean. As well as the view was stunning!! And the waves sound background just makes every thing 10x better. Moreover, the host was extremely helpful as I asked for heaters and adapters and they brought it very quickly. Overall, my family and I had a fabulous experience there 🙂
