Experience Villa Pietra in Camps Bay

Villa Pietra has it all! Take in the sights of Cape Town, laze on the white sand palm-lined beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, then simply retreat to the intimacy of this superb, contemporary haven in beautiful Bakoven. With its three stunningly appointed super-king size bedrooms, open plan living, chic interiors, landscaped garden with private pool, and access to Beta beach, this is the ideal luxury oceanside getaway for families or a group of friends alike.

Newly built Villa Pietra is set over three floors and benefits from an elegant contemporary style garden. Owner-designed, it reflects the simplicity and colours of the stunning setting - ocean views from two balconies at the rear, and the sweeping mountain backdrop from the balcony at the front of the property. Minimalist design, polished concrete floors, hues of grey and slate all add a super sleek and stylish feel. Plush sofas, comfy beds and cool styling create a luxurious yet fun atmosphere.

On entering Villa Pietra you can’t help but notice the spectacular quality of light, streaming through the large skylight onto the cantilevered smoked oak staircase. You’ll immediately want to take the stairs up to the large open plan dual aspect living room. For sociable, easy holiday living the modern, designer kitchen sits between the lounge and dining areas with a breakfast counter, convivial bar chairs and state of the art appliances. This is ultra-modern living in the most idyllic fashion with a wonderful combination of views to both the ocean and mountains.

Returning down to the entrance hall, take your pick of the two stylish bedrooms on this level. You may be drawn to the ocean view bedroom with its super-king or twin beds, large ‘sundowner’ balcony and en-suite shower room with double basins and walk in shower. A staircase from the balcony leads down to the courtyard garden and pool.

Alternatively, a stylish mountain view bedroom has windows towards the Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles, is fitted out with a wonderfully comfortable super king or twin bed and access to a cool walk-in shower room featuring luxury fittings, honed marble and brushed brass. Then take the stairs down to a beautiful ‘courtyard’ bedroom seamlessly linked by sliding glass doors to an exquisitely designed serene and sheltered, outdoor sanctuary - perfect for morning sun salutations! With its super king or twin bed, spacious en-suite bathroom complete with oval soaking tub, shower, and vanity you’ll feel yourself relaxing into the holiday mood. From this floor, you can explore the sheltered courtyard and garden beyond.

After a sun-drenched day on the beach, return to Villa Pietra via its private and secure beach access, pausing to wash away the salt and sand under the invigorating outdoor shower. Regroup on the spectacular upper floor, a glass of wine in hand to enjoy sunset over the ocean and the spectacular colours reflected onto the Apostles. Chat through the best moments of your day around the elegant eight-seater dining table, then retire to the lounge area and sink into the large and unbelievably comfortable ‘Cloud’ sofa. There is a woodburning fireplace for ‘cosying up ‘on cooler evenings in the Autumn and Winter months since this has been designed to be an all year-round holiday home.

It is a testament to the team of Capetonian architects and British owner designer who have truly thought of everything. Be sure to settle into your front row seat for the famous Cape Town sunsets……..Enjoy it all!

  1. 5We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Pietra. Everything was perfectly organized, and the property was beautiful and always clean. We felt very safe in the area and were able to walk to Camps Bay. We would love to come back!

  2. 5Staying here felt like stepping into a home crafted with love and attention to every detail. The host’s warmth made the experience unforgettable, and I left feeling truly cared for.

  3. 5A beautiful space with awesome views. Located also in the heart of the city. Great customer relation and special thanks to Kaybee. She was very welcoming, helpful and made our stay worthwhile.

  4. 5Beautiful place with beautiful finishes. ?? Check-in and Check-out went swiftly. Thank you Turnkey365

  5. 5Absolutely fantastic house and excellent hospitality. The view front and back is incredible and location perfect. The swimming pool is more of a cold plunge pool and there is no outdoor seating area to accompany the BBQ which wasn’t overly clear to me from the photos but it made no difference to us.
The house comes with an almost full time housekeeper which whilst a luxury did feel at times as though someone was just in your space for the sake of it – perhaps if this was just for a set time and length each day that would be more efficient.
Overall though an incredible house with excellent service from the hosts

  6. 5Our stay was incredible. The property was as shown on the listing. The only fix may be to be clearer which bedroom matched with which bathroom on the listing. The cleaning lady Sam was amazing and super friendly. The check-in was super easy and convenient. Julian and Lance were super flexible allowing both a late check-in and check-out due to our travel itinerary. All done with a smile and friendly disposition that matched the wonderful location in Camp’s Bay. The views of both Table Mountain and the ocean were better than even advertised. Be sure to checkout the Bootleggers Cafe a few doors down for breakfast which was a great way to start the day. Highly recommend this stay and hope to return myself soon!

  7. 3The place is very beautiful, short distance to beach and restaurants, security was very responsive too. The housekeeper came into the house unannounced most times, gave us multiple frights. The place was very dusty too, towels smelled moldy. To top it all off an agent was showing the place while we were getting ready to leave way before the checkout time, people came in to clean the couches and rugs too, which we felt was very inconsiderate.

  8. 5Wonderful and a lovely place, definitely on top of list of places I have stayed in. Tuernkey365 was such an outstanding and professional host, would highly recommend.

  9. 5A home definitely away from home. Great electricity back up solution. Sense of not experiencing load shedding was amazing. Would come back anytime

  10. 1My family and i didn’t have the best time at this villa, we spent most our stay with people doing repairs. The wifi signal was extremely terrible and the place was extremely dusty, we couldn’t sit on the couch or sleep on the bed without scratching I had to buy flees blankets to place on the beds and cover ourselves. Their sheets are washed in a very dirty washing machine and they put it on the bed without ironing!!! My 8 month old daughter had to be taken to the doctor due to a rash caused by a viral infection she got while staying in the villa plus a sinus infection which also started during our stay! The doctor had to prescribe medicated soaps for the entire family to use for a full week.
I read one review that said the house is great for hosting that’s laughable because they only had 1 champagne glass and had only 2 pots. I had to ask a private chef to bring pots for a father day dinner I planned for my husband.
The 127k I paid for the Villa was definitely not worth it!

  11. 5Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Pietra . It’s a lovely , modern property in an amazing location in Bakoven (about 1 km from the Camps Bay, which makes for a pleasant walk to the restaurants in Camps Bay).An added bonus was the property’s proximity to a lovely secluded beach (2 minutes walk) Beta Beach,Bakoven.Definitely a place I intend to visit again.

  12. 5The host was so helpful and met our every need. Beautiful house located in a prime location. We really enjoyed our stay

  13. 5Our family of 5 (3 young kids) stayed 6 nights at Villa Pietra
This was our 4th accomodation during our holiday and we really enjoyed ourselves
Location – Bakoven Beach, Camps Bay. 3-5min drive into heart of Camps Bay cafes and restaurant scene. We mainly stocked up on supplies at the Woolworths Fresh as it offered many gourmet options. Very convenient to drive to Table mountain cable cars and only 25mins to Constantia for exploring the wine region there.
Access to Bakoven Beach – through the back of the property you have within several minutes and literally handful of steps, access to the most stunning, seashell filled beach. It is not a sandy beach so dont expect that. But if you enjoy the idea of walking, climbing amongst these amazing rock formations and finding your own spot to camp or picnic on whilst seeing the waves rolling in and crashing amongst the rocks, then this is really for you. We witnessed the most amazing sunsets and were awe inspired by the power of the waves that would roll in and break amongst the many rock formations that are scattered all along in front of us. All at a safe distance but everyone needs to exercise common sense here as there are no boundary fences so one could venture right out to where the waves are if you wanted to but obviously not recommended for safety reasons
Property – this is a 3 storey villa with the kitchen, living and dining area on the top level. the middle level is where you enter via the secure car lock up and where you have 2 bedrooms and below you have the master bedroom, laundry facilities and access to outdoor terrace and pool. We really enjoyed the property which was cosy during the winter months and we used the outdoor gas bbq several times for stay at home dinners. Each day we would walk from the property to Bakoven beach to make the most of the prized location. Digital services were well provided for as well with the wifi and the TV services including Netflix, Disney+ and DSTV
Tips for those with young kids – there is a small and cute playground just before you get to the beach. Great place to let the little ones stretch out their legs before they get to the beach. Bakoven Beach is also great for the little ones who like collecting sea shells. thousands of shells get swept up by the ocean. A real treasure hunt for the kids. but be sure to pack beach shoes or joggers as the shells and rocks can be tough on the feet
Cleanliness – very well maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. The property also comes with daily cleaning on the weekdays which is highly appreciated
Very well managed by Julian and the team who were responsive and thoughtful with their advice

  14. 5Stunning house! Attention to detail. Loved every minute of our stay. By far one of the best Airbnb houses I’ve stayed in. ??

  15. 5The best Airbnb I’ve had the pleasure of staying for the last week. Thank you to the management for good communication and attention to detail. A really luxurious and comfortable place with the BEST beds ?.

  16. 5I’ll give this place 10/10. Happy to visit again anytime I’m in Cape Town.

  17. 4Lovely safe place in a great location. Kitted out to a very high standard too, so it’s lovely to cook or chill from. Beta beach – 1 min walk away – is also one of our favourite beaches in Cape Town

  18. 5Everything went totally good. From start till end.
Sunset view is insane and beach is just around the corner.
Great place! Will definitely come back!

  19. 5The house design and views are spectacular. Felt like a movie star with views of ocean and mountains. Safe area. Checkin and out were very smooth

  20. 5We had an amazing stay at the airbnb.
We unfortunately had some minor issues with the gate and wifi, however Julian was very attentive and immediately took care of it. The location and place in general were truly great
