5Our stay in Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden was made even more special by staying at Kapito’s place. It is one of those rare homes that immediately feels calm, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed for guests.
The location is exceptional. Nestled just below the mountains and minutes from Table Mountain, the setting feels peaceful and almost tucked away, yet it is still incredibly convenient for exploring Cape Town. Waking up each morning to fresh air, greenery, and the quiet rhythm of the neighborhood was a highlight of the trip.
The home itself is immaculate, stylish, and very comfortable. Every detail feels intentional, from the beautiful spaces to relax in to the thoughtful touches that make you feel genuinely welcomed. It strikes that perfect balance between luxury and warmth, where you can truly unwind after a day of exploring.

Мы испытывали проблемы с не работающими розетками в части дома, бассейн не был чистым перед нашим приездом, и мы так и не искупались в нем, так же нет большого стола на 14 человек внутри дома. 5We had a wonderful stay in this home. It was perfect for our small gathering and the staff were EXCEPTIONAL! They went above and beyond do be helpful but also allow us privacy. They were outstanding.

5This was honestly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in — it felt just like home. The view of Table Mountain, the pool, and the trees surrounding the property made it feel like we were in a little slice of paradise. There’s a cozy little library that’s perfect for relaxing, a big and well-equipped kitchen, and the seven bedrooms are beautifully laid out with plenty of space for everyone.
A big shoutout to Alex — he was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He was there every single day to check in, offer help, and make sure everything was going smoothly. He gave us a full walkthrough of the house when we arrived and was always just a message away. Super friendly, always smiling, and made us feel truly welcome. His help was very, very appreciated!
2We’ve used Airbnb for over 9 years and stayed in 20+ villas all were great, except this one.
The villa is beautiful and private, but poor cleanliness, heating issues, and intrusive management ruined our stay. We found rotten meat in the oven, old trash in bins, and a dirty pool with algae and duck droppings. BBQ, jacuzzi, and gym were unclean too.
The house was freezing. Gas ran out within 2 hours, and it took 3 days to replace. The water heater was shut off every night, so we woke up to cold water daily. The host kept sending messages about utility costs, asking us to turn off heaters, with no regard for comfort. She also ignored our request for morning privacy.
Despite the villa’s charm, the experience was disappointing and stressful. We won’t return.
To be fair, after we left, the owner of the managing company contacted us, asked for feedback, and showed genuine interest in improving which we appreciated.

5We loved our week at this property! The house and grounds were gorgeous and well appointed. Kapito the house manager was helpful and kind. We were a large group with multiple cars, so having ample parking inside the gates was very useful. Everything was clean, well decorated, and felt very lux. No hesitation recommending this property- would absolutely love to stay there again.

5We loved this home in so many ways; some days we just spent the day at the house to enjoy the beautiful garden and wonderful kitchen. The library has a treasure trove of books to explore and offers a quiet spot away from the group when needed. We wished we could have stayed longer!

5The house is great with many choices for gathering spaces, the garden and pool were peaceful and serene, and the kitchen had top notch appliances and well taken care of utensils.
The location is top notch. Next to the botanical gardens, and close to some truly great restaurants and just far enough from the city to make it feel like an escape (15-20 min drive)
The house doesn’t have aircon, and the windows or doors do not have netting so it would be a problem during mosquito season but the fans were strong and most importantly the fan blades were pristinely clean. Kudos!
The linens, pillows and mattress were clean, plump and comfortable. Everyone slept very well. Most of all, the staff made the house feel like a home.
One comment as we thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen is to throw away the nonstick pan as guests will scratch it making it ineffective and unappealing to use. As with your stainless steel pots, a stainless steel skillet would be a much better compliment.

5Amazing house, tastefully decorated with onsite housekeeper – all our queries were addressed on the spot! House is fully equipped with everything we needed – including things like a blender, international adapters, speaker system – you name it.
Location is leafy and private – Newlands area actually got a little colder than we expected but we were able to get the housekeeper to show us how to light the fireplace and brought in a few gas heaters to warm up the rooms a little.
Never did manage to figure out how to heat up the Jacuzzi properly but didn’t detract from our overall stay. Upstairs terrace/balcony by far my favourite part of the house! We loved our stay – thank you!
