Houghton Villa is Rocha Villa & Montanha Villa combined.
This extraordinary 6-bedroom villa has been recently renovated (2022) and is situated in the heart of Bakoven offering sweeping views across the ocean towards the Twelve Apostles mountain range from the roof terrace. This Villa has been sophistically designed with airy open plan living spaces, 2 Feng Shui courtyards, and 2 plunge pools.
Each half of the Villa have been uniquely designed with the various levels all built around the central courtyard with a plunge pool. This allows for a group to enjoy the use of different spaces within the Villa and not necessarily have to be in the same living area or outdoor space simultaneously.
As you enter each section of the property, you walk up a few steps into the open plan living room, dining and kitchen area. This level also offers a guest loo. Each kitchen has been fully equipped with all you could possibly need for your holiday including dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. Each dining table seats 6 guests. There is also L-shaped couches and flat screen TV's. Each living room has access to a small balcony l with views towards the sea.
Just up the stairs, on either side of the villa, you will find the first 2 bedrooms. Each of these bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers and each bedroom has access to a private terrace with outdoor seating for 6 guests.
Further down the passages, towards the mountain side of the properties, you will find 2 additional informal lounges with TV's.
From each informal lounge, you will ascend few stairs which will take you directly onto the roof terrace or leads you into the spacious Master Bedrooms. Each Master bedroom is light and airy with walk in dressing areas and large en-suite bathrooms with both a bath, double vanities and double walk in showers.
As you walk along the decked landing to the top terrace you are greeted with the most exquisite 180 degree views over the Atlantic. The roof terrace is large with a covered outdoor dining space to seat 8 guests. From the terrace, you will be able to enjoy watching the most exquisite sunsets.
This property is ideal for those who enjoy travelling together but who may also want to enjoy each having their own space.

5Location was amazing. loved the proximity to bootleggers cafe. intersection is a bit busy though. Stairs were an issue with luggage.
3The property itself was great and it was the perfect space, location, and convenient for my family. The check in was shaky as the person supposed to meet us with keys had to be changed to another person because they were running behind. The check in felt rushed and they had issues themselves unlocking doors when we arrived. When housekeeping service started we as the paying guest try to use the laundry and come downstairs to the housekeeper washing their personal clothes and proceeded to the same thing the next day. In addition, housekeeping used personal belongings of ours to charge their phone while we are present and did not care, finish their laundry, and went through some cosmetic bags. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Staff should not be washing their personal belongings while paying guest are there trying to use it. We got informed morning of the day we check out we have to leave at 10 am because of incoming guest even though it was previously approved for 12pm.
1We are extremely disappointed with our stay. We were 5 couples, and during our time at the villa, a total of USD 5,200 in cash went missing. The money was present when we arrived, and the only people with access during our stay were cleaning staff arranged by the host. On 20th March, $1,000 was discovered missing. On 21st March, an additional $1,800 was found missing from a bag. That same day, one of us saw a cleaner going through a personal shopping bag and acting suspiciously when noticed. On 24th March, another $2,400 was found missing from a bag kept since day one. Despite raising this, the host has not been helpful. They conducted a polygraph test using a company of their own choosing and appeared more focused on protecting their staff’s reputation than supporting guests. Staff also repeatedly left doors unlocked, corridors messy, and failed to clean 3 rooms and bathrooms despite charging extra over the weekend. A police report has been filed as well.
