Modoco is a luxury apartment, perfectly located directly opposite Camps Bay beach. The views are unrivaled and the beach and beach-side restaurants are conveniently located within a few minutes walk.
This Camps Bay holiday apartment has been tastefully renovated with holiday rentals in mind, and all your needs have been anticipated, from USB port plugs for charging your devices through to a Nespresso machine in the kitchen to give you that early morning start.
An open-plan lounge and modern kitchen greet you on arrival. This area opens (via concertina doors that can stack away completely) onto a private balcony that overlooks the palm-lined beach and ocean.
The kitchen offers modern appliances, including double fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, while the cosy lounge is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with glossy wooden flooring.
Crisp, white linen and simple, clean lines reflect the beach-house feel in the apartment’s two bedrooms. The ocean bedroom has a king-sized bed, ample cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. The mountain bedroom has twin beds, which can be converted into a king sized bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath (and shower over the bath).

5The most fabulous views from the sitting room, kitchen and balcony. Only a short walk to many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Wonderful cleaning staff led by Venantia. Idyllic location only a short Uber drive to the waterfront or CBD. It was a wrench leaving here!

3We stayed here for 5 nights and views from the balcony and living room is the best thing about the apartment. We loved the neighbourhood and surroundings. The furniture in the apartment looks very basic and needs an upgrade specially the TV in the living room which was a pain. Also, there’s a very steep staircase to enter into the apartment that will be a big struggle if you have large bags and suitcases. The room with two single beds had issues with hot water taking 5–10 minutes, making it inconvenient. The shower was also difficult to use, with poor switching and low water pressure. Fine for a short stay, but frustrating otherwise. Please be very careful about your checkout time because even if it’s raining outside it won’t stop the hosts from asking you to leave the apartment on time without holding your luggage back even for an hour which I found to be an extremely inconsiderate treatment. I can’t hold them accountable for it but little consideration can go a long way.

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in dieser Unterkunft in Camps Bay! Wir reisten mit unserem dreijährigen Sohn und hätten uns keinen besseren Ort vorstellen können. Die Wohnung war makellos sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bot alles, was wir brauchten. Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar – nur wenige Gehminuten vom wunderschönen Strand entfernt und in unmittelbarer Nähe zu tollen Cafés und Restaurants.
Trotz der zentralen Lage war es ruhig und entspannt, perfekt für Familien. Unser Sohn hatte viel Platz zum Spielen, und wir fühlten uns von Anfang an wie zu Hause. Der Gastgeber/ä war super freundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte.
Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Südafrika sind!

5This condo was perfect! Perfect location, super clean, and with a beautiful view. It had all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect to walk to thw beach and many great restaurants and shops. I will miss our amazing view of the ocean! I didn’t realize it was a serviced apartment. It was a treat to get back to clean place and made beds and all of that! Valencia was amazing and did a great job while always being super friendly and helpful. Thanks so much!
5Great place to stay! loved the little touch of enough tea, coffee and milk for us. You don’t always want to buy a jar of coffee if it is a short stay. The soap, shower gel and cream in the bathrooms was amazing. we didn’t use the shampoo, but I’m sure that would be stunning too!

5We has a great time at the Nox rental we stayed. Beautiful views of the sea, close and easy to cape town and we had some people from their team who helped us out and gave us good local advice. Only negative thing i can say there is a nightclub down the street and youll hear booming sounds until 1 am. If you are senstive to sound keep that in mind.

4We really enjoyed our time at Modoco – the views were amazing (we loved the ability to completely open the windows/wall to the balcony over looking the ocean). It’s in a fantastic location- extremely walkable. Locating the airbnb was almost impossible – I would suggest signage outside on the street. Other than initially locating the airbnb we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Run by a big company – If we had known this a hotel would have been our preference ( So many emails!)
Air Conditioning – Not working in west facing apartment in Summer (told it would be fixed, was not, unable to use living room during these afternoon periods, this was our main reason for booking the apartment… the views)
Laundry – washing machine in use with other towels, share situation, I had to remove laundry to do my own, loud dryer in one room, annoying at cost for unit
Overall a little disappointing
5We were very impressed with both the location and apartment, superb views of the ocean and walkable to bars and restaurants. Daily maid service kept the place looking fantastic with the host also checking in from time to time made our stay even better. I couldn’t recommend this place any higher, fantastic!
5Stunning and uninterrupted views of the ocean. The apartment was very cosy and comfortable. I really enjoyed the sounds of the waves crashing at night. It was very relaxing. The apartment entrance isn’t so easy to find so you definitely need to connect with the host prior to arrival (my fault as I thought it would have been easier) but they were very responsive and got us settled in quickly

5Here is the bottom line, we will gladly come back to this property every time we visit Cape Town. The Air con worked well and the bedrooms were very quiet even though the kitchen and living room were close to the busy street. The view from the balcony and main rooms were spectacular!! Location was great for walking to the beach or local restaurants and shopping.

5Location, location, location! We spent four nights in this gem of an apartment directly across the road from the Camps Bay Beach. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and spacious with two large bedrooms both ensuite and a large kitchen/lounge area. The true beauty, lies beyond the glass doors off the front of the apartment, with beautiful undisturbed views of the beach. The location is ideal, a short 5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to a large variety of restaurants and close to all tourist sights within the city itself. I will definitely be back for a visit and would highly recommend this lovely apartment.

2I was rushed to “verify” my details online and “should I not do it I’ll be fined R10 000” which really doesn’t make sense to me. Besides the amount being unreasonable and unnecessary, you do not threaten guests like that.

5Only stayed here one night due and due the Corona situation, my friend and I booked it very last minute. Richard was great with us and even accommodated an early check in. View is amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
