Ocean Pear is build over 3 levels, this spacious family villa is perfect for a multi-generation family holiday. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with additional bunk beds in the games room, sleeping a maximum of 4 children.
The main entertainment area, with comfortable lounge, expansive dining areas and modern open plan kitchen, is situated on the upper level. This area has access onto a private balcony with lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a private pool and gas barbeque/braai on the balcony.
The middle level (entrance level) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one en-suite) as well as a guest toilet. The lower level has the fourth bedroom (en-suite) as well as the games room with TV, comfortable couches and pool table. There are 2 bunk beds which can accommodate an additional 4 children (under 16 years). This area has access to the downstairs patio with a plunge pool.
This spacious family home is also equipped with battery backups so you won't be without light or entertainment during periods of load shedding (rolling blackouts) which happen from time to time in South Africa. The backup batteries power all lights and most plugs in the property, as well as WiFi, so all entertainment options work. There is also a gas HOB in the kitchen and gas BBQ/braai on the balcony, so cooking is no problem at all.

What is Powered: All of the lights, the entertainment, wifi and all of the plugs in the property. Hours are usage dependant.
What Isn’t Powered: The plugs in the kitchen do not work during loadshedding, including the airconditioners, washing machine, dryer, electric oven and the geysers are also excluded from the power backup.
What Doesn’t Require: The gas stove works throughout loadshedding.
This home has housekeeping Monday - Saturday excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for these days on request.

This property is strictly non-smoking but allows smoking outside.
This home is located in a peaceful residential area and is fitted with a noise monitoring device. Road noise may be experienced during peak traffic times.
The bunk beds are for children under the age of 16 only. This is a semi-detached home in a complex shared with 3 other homes.

3Our stay in Cape Town was pleasant overall; however, there were several issues that affected our experience.
Check-in was quite a hustle and not as smooth as expected. Upon arrival, we found that the bins in the main bathrooms had not been emptied, which was disappointing. On the first day, the gate was not locking properly, which posed a security risk and made us uncomfortable. There were also no clear instructions provided on how to use the pool or the downstairs Jacuzzi, which would have been helpful.
The noise monitoring devices in the house were extremely sensitive and, in our view, unbearable. Even normal conversation triggered repeated notifications. As a result, we were issued what we believe to be an unfair fine. The constant alerts and warnings made it difficult to relax and enjoy the property peacefully.
Additionally, the treatment from the collections representative was not satisfactory, Being approached in a demanding manner for payment on the second day of our stay.

3The place needs maintenance, they need new towels and sheets that aren’t stained or has a smell. The games room also has a terrible stench. We had issues with items being missing and was not resolved. The location and most amenities were as described but having belongings missing and the helpers coming in without notice doesn’t sit well.

5Amazing property close to camps bay, table mountain, and main roads towards coastal drives. It has all the amenities and more than you would want in a holiday stay and the property manager was very warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay here while in Cape Town.
