Ty Gwyn (meaning White House in Welsh) is a modern, newly re-furbished villa located in a quiet street in the exclusive suburb of Camps Bay, just minutes away from the sea, restaurants and bars of Camps Bay.
Decorated throughout in a sleek contemporary style, the villa is split on two levels. On entering the villa, you are greeted with the open plan lounge, dining and newly renovated high-spec kitchen area.
The lounge has a lovely large plasma TV and big comfy couches to relax in. A pebble fireplace makes it an ideal space for those cold winter nights. All three double bedrooms are sea-facing. Two bedrooms are located downstairs (one of which has an en-suite bathroom) and the master bedroom is located on the upper level (also with en-suite bathroom). The outdoor area has a large private deck that is ideal for those that love entertaining and is the perfect sundowner spot.
The deck also has a pool which enables one to enjoy the surrounding, breath-taking sea and mountain views. At the back of the property you can relax in the courtyard setting with a small lounge area. Ty Gwyn is in a great location and close to all the attractions and amenities Cape Town has to offer.

3Leider würden wir die Unterkunft für den stolzen Preis nicht weiterempfehlen.
Die Schlafzimmer sind alle sehr klein. Die Betten in den unteren Schlafzimmern waren nur 140 cm breit, was einfach zu klein für ein angebotenes Doppelbett ist. Die Bäder waren im allgemeinen nicht besonders intakt. Die Ablagen in den Duschen sind fast abgefallen, in der Dusche lief das Wasser nicht ab, an den Duschwänden war Schimmel, etc.
Teilweise waren die Fenster nicht dicht, was bei dem starken Wind nachts das Haus ausgekühlt hat.
Die Möbel im Wohnzimmer waren auch sehr abgenutzt, sodass man sich auch ungern dort hinsetzen wollte.
Zudem hatten wir extreme Probleme die Eingangstür zu öffnen und zu schließen, sodass wir über das Schlafzimmer das Haus verlassen/betreten haben. Es wurde versucht das Problem zu beheben aber das hat leider in den 9 Tagen, wo wir dort waren nicht geklappt.
Dennoch haben wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt und die Haushaltshilfe Gina war sehr freundlich und zuverlässig.
