Watch a spectacular sunset from the private, rim-flow heated pool of this oceanfront paradise every evening. The magnificent beach bungalow features flowing indoor-to-outdoor spaces, open layout living areas, luxurious finishes, a beautiful deck with pool, sun loungers and different seating areas and a unique garden overlooking the ocean, a barbecue area, and exclusive access to one of the most famous beaches in the world. This beach bungalow is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth.
The beach house in Clifton is accessed by a small gate that opens onto a courtyard and the pool deck and garden. This is an incredible entertainment space to enjoy while you listen to the waves crash. The main living area is accessed by floor to ceiling glass stacking doors. This light space has ample, comfortable lounge and dining seating. The double volume ceilings over the fully equipped kitchen allow for lots of light and more space to enjoy the fantastic views.
To the left of the living space is a passage with access to 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has access onto the pool deck via floor to ceiling glass stacking doors. It has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The second bedroom has night ceilings and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom is found just past the kitchen. It also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower that is built into the bedrock. The bedrooms all have TV and air-conditioning and are furnished with opulent bedding and their own unique style.

There are a lot of stairs but people can help carry your bags and we enjoyed the extra exercise. Great kitchen facilities to cook if you wish. Loved the water cooler provided. Francis the caretaker was excellent and helpful.
5My family of four stayed at Jess’s place, we loved the house and the location. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The kids played outside and we had nightly beach walks! We especially loved our evening eating al fresco watching the sunset! The kids LOVED the pool!!

5The location was amazing. The buzzing vibe from Clifton 3rd right at your door step, but also so quiet and peaceful in the mornings and in the evenings. The many steps towards the bungalow can challenging but there are helpful hands around who help to carry your luggage or your groceries. The outside area of the bungalow is also very nice with enough space for a bigger group to hang out. a big plus is the heated pool especially when you travel with small children.
4Apart from a leaky roof Jess’ place is a great home and location.

526 bungalow was amazing. We loved the tucked away location and views. Even though the beach was busy during the day, we felt safe, and secluded. Ned’s were comfortable. The beach was breath taking and very clean. We enjoyed the pool also. Francis was very responsive and friendly. Loved loved it

5Situated 120 steps down to the house from the parking lot, the cozy beach front has a spectacular ocean view & sunsets. It was lovely to hear the ocean while enjoying our sundowners. The full view glass accordion doors brought the outdoors inside .

5What a place! In the perfect location to visit all that Cape Town has to offer whilst, at the same time, being an amazing luxury beach front hide away! 6 stars from us if it was possible.
5I lived in Cape Town for 25years and brought my family back to experience its wonders. This Beach cottage was the absolute best base to do this from. We felt safe and this heavenly location is second to none! I swam multiple times a day and the view is second to none which spectacular views of Lions head (which we hiked up-strongly recommend ) and Clifton Beach. I will add that the aircon is not super strong, but David was on it and sent out a repairman to check if anything could be done. This in no way detracted from our dream of a stay! We will return in a heartbeat and will recommend this beach cottage to anyone planning a visit to CT.
5Such a special house.. we were mesmerised.
We want to come back and stay for a few weeks to really enjoy the house. Just right at the beach. You can walk to clifton 1,2,4. Get a massage at the beach, enjoy the hot pool after a shock dip in the Altantic ocean.. There is security walking day and night around the beaches, making you feel so comfortable..
Beds were really comfy, we fell asleep at the patio beds under the moonlight.. It was magical.
Francis who works with David helped us tremendously with our luggage and check in check out, he is so lovely.. All 6 friends left the house dreaming of owning a place like that one day..
3We stayed 5 days. The location is perfect albeit a bit noisy late at night / early hours of the morning over weekends with drunk people coming down to the beach. The property is in need of maintenance (barbecue not working, loose tiles, broken cupboard doors, lights not working, roof blinds not working) and an upgrade – it doesn’t quite look like the photos on the site. Also, the home is cluttered, particularly the kitchen and bedroom cupboards. The coffee machine takes pods which are impossible to get. We were not told to take the awning down (which was open when we checked in) and not shown how to operate the awning which was damaged during strong winds and the owner is now trying to hold be responsible for the damage which is completely unreasonable, especially considering that the awning was already rusted and in need to repair/replacement. The property was not ready when we arrived at the stated check in time.

4Unbeatable views on an incredible beach – just not so suitable for small children due to lack of fencing in garden/pool and it’s a serious hike down from the road. For a romantic hideaway or fun young couples it is incredible – but for young families I would choose somewhere else.

5David is an excellent host. The house is lively. The views are incredible. We were the last house before the sand and had a pool which we used a lot as the first few days the weather was not good. The last 5 were very good. David is a very hands on host, responds practically immediately which was a definite plus. Would def stay there again. Had a wonderful thine. Was very sad to leave Cape Town.

From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the breathtaking views of the beach and the ocean. The apartment is perfectly positioned to offer a panoramic vista of Clifton’s pristine shoreline, and I could easily spend hours just sitting on the balcony, enjoying the waves and the sunsets.
The space itself is beautifully designed—modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and the large windows allow you to take in those stunning beach views. The location is also ideal—quiet and peaceful, yet still close to all the best spots in Cape Town, including the vibrant Camps Bay area, with its cafes, restaurants, and nightlife.
The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout my stay. Whether you’re looking for a getaway, a peaceful retreat, or simply a spot to relax and enjoy

5David’s bungalow on Clifton 3rd is out of this world. Those who know, will know Clifton as having the “primo” beaches in SA and David’s spot gives you front row action to everything they have to offer. The heated pool was a huge bonus and my kids hardly left it for the two days we were there. Being so close to such a beautiful beach allows you to experience it in all its dimensions – peaceful and quiet in the mornings, trendy and fun on the hot summer afternoons and serene and beautiful in the evenings. The house itself has everything you would need. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are great places to be with good showers. The “built into the rock” vibe is something that makes these Clifton bungalows so special.
David and Francis’ communication was excellent and responses immediate. The message a week before arrival giving clear instructions for parking and who would meet us on arrival was very efficient and professional.

5We stayed the second time at Davids place and enjoyed it again a lot. We got all the information needed from David and Francis, who we met at our check in. Everything worked out perfectly. Also our quite early check out was not a problem for Francis.
Compared to the year before David had a few things changed which definitely upgraded the place.
The kitchen is well equipped and everything is there for a nice Braai outside. The whole place was very clean and well looked after.
The heated pool and the outdoor furniture are very inviting for chilled days at the beach.
For us this is the perfect place to go to for a beach holiday.
We had a great time, thank you again.

5Absolutely beautiful house on Clifton Beach! Perfectly situated between the city and the Cape — 15 minute drive to V&A Waterfront and 30 minutes to Boulders Beach or vineyards.
Francis spent as much time as I needed explaining all of the house amenities. The kitchen was amply stocked with small appliances to make cooking easier, as were bedrooms and baths. We didn’t even notice the loadshedding because the generator kicked right on.
Lots of pool towels provided. Lots of great options for lounging around the pool. Comfortable beds!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful the pool and outdoor space is. Restaurants deliver to the house, too. There was always a good parking space available. David responded within minutes when we had questions. There is literally nothing lacking in this property.

Leider waren unsere Betten nicht frisch bezogen und noch benutzt von den vorherigen Gästen, die Handtücher noch nicht gewaschen und das Airbnb war ein wenig unordentlich. Einige Dinge in der Unterkunft müssten neu ersetzt werden (Liegen, Outdoortisch, Rückwand des Bettes etc. ). Die Unterkunft ist durch viel Besucher ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr schade, da die Lage wirklich top ist.

5We stayed at this beautiful cottage to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is hard to beat!! The cottage is funky, cute, comfortable. David was super helpful. We would love to come back and with more time to enjoy the gorgeous deck and pool.

We love Clifton 3rd beach . The view from this house is amazing , the easy access to the beach is fabulous and the heated pool is fantastic .
The kitchen is well equipped ( even with an airfryer) . (Was only missing a teapot ) . The rooms got a good size and the bathrooms are all en-suite. There is also an extra guest toilet . The whole house got a homely feel to it and many of the basics you need for cooking are provided .
We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we hope to come back again . Thank you .

5Our stay at David’s Bungalow was paradise on earth. The space was a perfect size for our group of 6, particularly the outdoor space which is so spacious and captures the sun all day long. The heated pool was a game changer and there was nothing better than taking a dip while overlooking the breathtaking beach & mountain view. We were lucky to experience an incredible ocean sunset and rainbow over the mountain, and even spotted some whales in the ocean.
Check in was easy with Francis and he kindly helped us carry our bags down the steps. David was a great host who replied speedily and was able to facilitate a later check out for us which we really appreciated.

2Unfortunately, this property fell far short of our expectations. There are some serious issues at this property that need to be addressed. First, the AC didn’t work the entire stay. When we first reported it shortly after we checked in we were told that the house manager would need to come by and reset something the next day… that wasn’t really the answer I was hoping for because I was traveling with three individuals in their 70s who need AC to sleep. It never worked properly. Second, the washer and dryer didn’t work and was never repaired. Here are the rest of the issues: -AC remotes didn’t work, two of the three needed new batteries -The bottom rack in the dishwasher wouldn’t slide in and out. Wheels are missing. -Kitchen is cluttered with appliances and extremely unorganized -No cooking oil and no pepper when we arrived, which is part of the requirements for Airbnb Plus -Every towel smelled of mildew from not properly drying -No conditioner in the shower
5Sine we have stayed here for multiple times, our current feedback would be just a repetition of the previous. It is a paradise 🙂 and David is a great host.

4Where to begin with no26? I could talk for days about the clever design and consideration in this perfectly perched cottage.
The heated pool, outdoor sound and ample seating outdoors made the patio feel like an extension of both the white sands and crystal waves of the beach adjacent and the homely living spaces indoors.
Loadshedding measures never left us without security equipment and basic appliances powered up – thank you for that peace of mind!
There’s so much we enjoyed about this gorgeous space!
A must visit if you truly want to enjoy the best of the Cape against the backdrop of Lions Head, ensconced by the relative privacy of 3rd beach Clifton.
