5We had an exquisite visit at Clifton Sunset. The photos are beautiful and yet we were still surprised at how large and nice the place was when we arrived. The host was extremely friendly and responsive, and the staff took excellent care of us, providing housekeeping and even laundry each day. We’d be very fortunate to stay here again.

5We had a fantastic stay here with three adults and two children (aged 1 and 4). The house was perfect – with many lovely spots to sit and enjoy the view and the amazing sunsets.
The property is well sheltered from the wind. Even when it was very windy in Camps Bay and difficult to be outside there, it was relatively calm and pleasant here. The location is excellent: close to the beach and many great restaurants.
Secure and convenient garage parking, with no issues fitting a Toyota FortRunner. The area felt very safe.
Above all, we were truly impressed by the wonderful people we met – Dani and his sister (who offers treatments right next to the property such as massage, manicure, pedicure, and facial treatments), as well as Gladys and Stan, who took great care of the house every day.
We would happily return and highly recommend this place.
5What an incredible stay! The location couldn’t have been better: peaceful and quiet with absolutely beautiful views, yet still really convenient for getting around.
The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed—great kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi, and plenty of space. It just felt like home the moment we walked in.
The on-site spa was an added bonus. We had a busy schedule most days and only managed to squeeze in one treatment, but it was lovely and we really regretted not making more time for it.
Our host was an absolute gem: warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Communication was seamless, and he went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience. A special shout-out to the full-time staff as well: they were helpful, quick to sort anything we asked for, and perfectly discreet the rest of the time.

5You just cant’ do any better than this house. Danie was incredibly kind and easy to work with. Met us and gave us a full tour upon arrival. The staff were friendly, helpful and available but never in the way. The views are out of this world. No single picture I took came close to doing it justice, and the overall house was immaculate. Down to the appliances, sheets, cooking utensils, all of it – absolute top of the line.
The location is fantastic. Walking distance from beach and several great food options. Felt very safe and was easy to get to and from other spots in Cape Town (VA, Stadium, Promenade, etc). It’s just a great house in a beautiful spot.
This might be the only place I stay when visiting Cape Town heading forward. Will absolutely be back soon!

5Our stay at Danie’s place was a 10/10 – the home is beautiful with an incredible view of the ocean and is only a <5 minute walk to the beach. Danie was an incredible host and very communicative which made our stay seamless. We stayed here with our two toddlers, and Danie provided us with all necessary baby equipment. Additionally the pool had a separate fence which made us feel confident the kids were safe when the pool was not in use. We hope to stay here again on our future visits!

Good:
– Danie is an excellent and very friendly host and was very responsive to all our questions
– the staff at the house is very kind and helped us with cleaning up the kitchen, doing the laundry and making up our beds each day.
– Location is great. Breathtaking ocean view, quiet, 10min walk down to the beach (lot of stairs)
Room for improvement:
– we booked the house as two families each with kids and thus needing 4 rooms (two for each family) and it wasn’t stated anywhere, that one of the rooms is in a different house up some stairs. So we couldn’t use this room at all, which was very inconvenient for us. We gave Danie this feedback and he updated the description right away. However, that’s why the price-performance ratio didn’t seem right to us.
– the furniture is a bit outdated. Especially the kitchen would need a makeover.

5Great house, host, and staff! Can’t beat the views from the front of the property and the wall of glass doors which all open was a superb touch. Danie was great upon greeting us, showing us the tour, and answering all questions. Staff on the property were respectful of our privacy but present for all needs (and we loved chatting). 5We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The views were absolutely stunning, and the location was perfect with just a short stroll to the beach (note: hills and stairs…). The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Secure parking was a great bonus, giving us peace of mind during our stay.

We spent an unforgettable week at Clifton Sunset. Now, we know where to stay when we are in Cape Town.
5Incredible house! View is amazing, especially from the master bedroom. Kitchen large and well appointed. We loved that there was a pool fence with our young kids, which is a rarity in Cape Town. Beautiful grass area and outdoor dining overlooking the ocean. Clifton 4the beach a relatively short walk. Comfortable beds. Staff (Edward) always on hand to do dishes, clean clothes and help out around the house, which is a great luxury when travelling (we found his presence somewhat unexpected at the start but acclimatized quickly and appreciated his help) Guests should note the fourth bedroom is (beautiful) but in a separate bungalow upstairs to the main house. Danie the host couldn’t have been more responsive, helpful, and welcoming. He even installed a solar pool heater before our arrival to make the pool more comfortable for our kids in the colder autumn weather.

5We could not have been happier than we were during our stay at Clifton Sunset. It is ideally located for exploring the Cape peninsula and a quick nip to Sea Point, the Waterfront and town. It is also uniquely windless, which was great since we arrived shortly after a big storm.
Danie and team are fantastic – clearly very expert and professional at hosting, but also very kind and helpful.
The house itself is perfect for a large group, very well-equipped, with lovely bed linen and extremely comfy beds.
Best of all were the magnificent views from the beautiful outdoor area, which we used constantly. Apart from the pool and loungers there are several lovely places to sit, relax and enjoy the outlook of ocean and mountains.
A truly heavenly house, with the added bonus of being run by lovely people. Win win!
5Outstanding home in what I thought was the perfect location above the best beach (Clifton 4) and adjacent to the best town (Camps Bay). We loved the grassy lot with pool and 180 view of the ocean and mountains. Home was packed with essentials to make you feel at home. Very quiet for a good sleep!

The master bedroom is certainly the main draw but we found the bedroom up in the small house to be charming and private as well. When we arrived, Danie gave us a warm welcome, and showed us around this beautiful house. We had the pleasure of meeting owner and co-host Jacque, and were introduced to the wonderful housekeepers Edward and Katie.
Our week in Cape Town was made even more memorable staying in this house. Beautiful views, a fully decked out and prepared kitchen, spacious, clean rooms with amazingly comfortable beds (quite possibly the best I’ve tried). During our stay the hosts were in constant contact with us, and always made sure our needs were met. But the thing that really makes this place special is Edward and Katie. They were kind, wonderful and always present to help. They really made the house feel like our home and we are grateful for their presence. We cannot recommend it enough!

5Incredible views and perfect sunsets from this amazing space. It was especially great to have a nice lawn space and plenty of room to laze around in the sunshine.
Communication was great and quick. The house keepers were very helpful to make sure we did not have to lift a finger.
Some minor details were not in place, which should be standard in this price bracket (like a decent shampoo, conditioner and hand / body lotion and a decent hair dryer in all bathrooms).
But all in all we had a great time and still rate our stay 5 stars.

5This is the place to stay in Clifton. Wonderful view and a wonderful house. A short walk down to the beach or Camps Bay restaurants. Worth every cent.
5We had a really lovely stay, the most incredible views of the sea and sunset….you won’t want to leave the house much 🙂 They also had an inverter in the house which meant that during load shedding hours, the WiFi and lights both worked (only AC didn’t). Edward and his wife took great care of us and were really helpful with our washing and keeping the house clean. The only thing to note is that the room at the top is slightly separate to the house (near to the spa). The spa is also used for a small number of outside visitors which makes the top room feel not entirely private however, it didn’t really bother us.

5Our stay in Danie’s place was unforgettable! The house is located at the best possible spot in Clifton, surrounded by luxurious neighbouring villas and looking directly at Clifton beach! Super safe area, we enjoyed endless walks either around neighboring Nettleton Rd admiring the legendary houses or wandering at Clifton beaches enjoying the sunset – all walking distance.
The house itself was a delight, super well-spaced (our master bedroom opening up directly on the pool with this spectacular view was a dream) and so well equipped, you could definitely cook family meals and wouldn’t miss a thing. Our favorite spot was the pergola sitting area at the garden overlooking the house,the pool and of course the amazing view to the ocean.
Last but certainly not least, Danie the host was one of a kind! Felt like a friend from the first moment, always available and super professional with so many suggestions and tips about the area he made our stay one to remember. A big big mention to Edward who was our caretaker and made us feel like we stayed in a 5* hotel, so discreet but at the same time making sure everything was clean and tidy for us – this was such a highlight!

5We had a blast in Cape Town and big part of it was because of the place we stayed in and the great host Danie. The house is really nice with a magical view of the ocean, the host was very welcoming and always available to help. definitely one of my best Airbnb experiences.
