Dunvegan Villa is a wonderful, large and spacious holiday home with beautiful views. Various separate self-contained units make up the house. Set up on the mountain with a pool and jacuzzi. Perfect for a big group for Easter or Christmas holidays, family reunions, golf/sports groups or a base for international voluntary work students at any time of the year. Fantastic golf course, bird watching, lovely hiking and plenty of beaches nearby. Dunvegan Villa is set up on the mountain in a lovely sheltered, safe corner of Clovelly.

The holiday home borders onto a Nature Reserve. Open the gate and you are on the nature trails and paths. Really wonderful bird watching from your balcony. Beautiful pool and Jacuzzi in the garden. Within walking distance to the most popular Cape Town Golf Course, Clovelly Country Club with a wonderful pub. Lovely walks over the saddle of “Trappies Kop” mountain to trendy Kalk Bay with wonderful shops, restaurants, pubs and bistros. Beautiful Clovelly Beach is a 2-minute drive down the road or a 10-minute walk. Dunvegan Villa is central to all of Cape Town’s tourist attractions.

The House Breakdown

Separate One Bedroom Cottage

this is situated above the Garage and is not inter-leading to any other unit of the holiday house (Sleeps 2) consists of a lovely bedroom with a king size bed (or can be split into 2 single beds) and a full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a large lovely wooden deck with outdoor furniture.

Downstairs Area

The Bay Suite and the Pool Suite can be inter-leading or separated by locking off the inter-leading door. There is also an inter-leading door from the Bay Suite to the main house area.

Bay Suite

Consists of a lovely big bedroom with a king size bed (or can be split into 2 beds) and a full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a large lovely wooden deck with outdoor furniture.

Pool Suite

consists of a lovely big bedroom with king-size bed (or can be split into 2 singles) and an en-suite bathroom with shower a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a lovely balcony with outdoor furniture and a view over the pool and towards the golf club. (The bedroom is large and it is possible for us to add in an extra bed if needed)

Separate Studio Flat

(This is next door to the Pool Suite but has its own entrance and is not inter-leading to any other rooms) (Sleeps 2) A bedroom with twin beds (which can be made up into a king size bed on request) and comfortable chairs. The room has sliding doors onto a patio which is partly enclosed and has a roof over it with outdoor furniture and views across the garden and swimming pool and Fish Hoek Valley. En-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Small kitchenette with fridge and microwave.

Main House – Middle Area of The House

Contents of middle floor: A big family room which is open-plan to the dining room and kitchen. This room has sliding doors onto the main front balcony that has a stunning view over the golf course, the Fish Hoek valley and the distant Atlantic ocean. The family room also has a sliding door leading into a lovely “honest” pub/bar which also has a fridge and has sliding doors onto the back patio, which faces the mountain.

The kitchen is fully fitted with a large fridge/freezer, stove, microwave and dishwasher. A separate TV lounge with a closed combustion fireplace, DVD player. This Lounge has a sliding door opening onto the main wooden deck on the one side and on the other side there is a small breakfast room leading from it.

2 large bedrooms: 1 luxurious bedroom with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath. This bedroom has a beautiful bay window in the front and also has sliding doors opening onto the main balcony. 1 double bedroom with two single beds and private bathroom with a shower only. This room has sliding doors onto a small sunroom sitting area with tea/coffee facilities. The sunroom faces the mountain and has 2 sleeper couches.

African Attic Separate Self-Contained Flat

Sleeps 4 (this flat has it’s own entrance and it not inter-leading to the main house area) Contents of Attic flat (this has a separate entrance from the mountain side deck): Lounge/dining room and kitchenette combined with sliding doors onto deck facing the mountain with outdoor furniture and barbeque facility and lovely views of the mountain. Two en-suite bedrooms, one on either side of the lounge. The main bedroom has a king size bed and lovely en-suite bathroom with shower and bath. The other bedroom has twin beds with an en-suite bathroom (shower only). Both bedrooms have windows facing the mountain.

Guest access

You have the exclusive use of the entire house, garden, pool and jacuzzi. The house has 8 bedrooms, a separate TV lounge, lovely large family room with built-in BBQ, open plan to the dining area and a lovely kitchen. Separate spacious, self-catering units/apartments make up the various bedrooms with their own seating area/kitchenette with a fridge in all. All guests will have their own privacy and ability to gather up to spend time together in the main house spacious section for a barbeque, meals and socializing. Beautiful views from balconies all around the house.
