Designed in a Colonial-African style, the villa has large, spacious rooms with contemporary décor. The ground floor features the living, dining, and entertaining areas with a grand entrance hall, elegant sitting and living rooms, and a beautiful dining room with high ceilings.
The entrance hall has stunning parquet flooring and a cosy sitting area with plush leather couches and a large fireplace. A formal dining room has a 10-seater dining table and chairs, a large fireplace, and lovely views of the garden through a large bay window.
A huge, bright, and airy kitchen has everything needed for easy holiday living and entertaining. State-of-the-art appliances include a gas oven and stove, and dishwasher. A scullery houses a fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A picnic-style table and benches provide a place to enjoy breakfast and easy meals and dark slate tiles keep the kitchen cool. The kitchen has large windows that can be folded back to allow full views of the garden.
Just off the kitchen is a casual family room with comfortable couches and chairs and large sliding doors that open onto a patio and the garden and swimming pool area. A spacious television room has comfy couches, an entertainment system, and sliding doors that open onto the garden. There is also a games room with a pool table and table football with double doors onto a patio and a cosy bar area.
Upstairs there are five elegantly furnished bedrooms with carpeted floors and en-suite or shared bathrooms and lovely garden or mountain views. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large shower, a freestanding bath, and underfloor heating. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath, while the remaining three bedrooms have twin beds and a shared bathroom with a shower.
The villa is surrounded by an acre of mature gardens with stunning views of Table Mountain. There is a floodlit tennis court and a large heated swimming pool. A large pergola near the pool covers an eight-seater dining table and chairs for alfresco dining, and a smaller pergola in the garden is ideal for relaxing.
The entrance to the property is through two large iron gates which open automatically onto a sweeping in-out drive. There is secure parking for several vehicles in the drive as well as a garage under the property for two cars.

3Check in was fine, no issues at all. Got off to a bumpy start as the power kept tripping every time we put an appliance on. Contacted guest relations as they said an electrician would come out. Still wasn’t fixed after day 2. Turned out the fault was with the solar panel and an easy fix by switching the power to the main grid. Not sure why power wasn’t run off the main grid in the first instance?! It was annoying those first few days as washing couldn’t be done or meals made. Also items in fridge not kept at a safe cool temperature. Once sorted all was well however no compensation was offered. Some sort of goodwill gesture would’ve been appreciated.
A thorough dust would’ve been good before arrival as a few of us were sneezing quite a lot while only at the house. Something definitely gave us allergies. Albertina however kept the house well during our stay and was very pleasant.

5This a huge house and ideal for large groups or families. The pool is a great size and a super area for everyone to enjoy.
The water pressure is very poor and so showering was not as easy as we’d have liked.
We had an issue in our first night when the inverter didn’t kick in and so we had no power for a while but the hosts very quickly came to the house to fix it.
A second TV would be useful but not an issue for us as we were too busy enjoying the facilities.
3Het huis was aangenaam groot voor een grote groep. We vinden wel dat het huis al wat verouderd was, zo kon je niet met meerdere tegelijk douchen omdat de waterdruk dan wegviel. De huishoudhulp is elke dag aanwezig, een lieve dame. Helaas was het wasmachine wel relatief duur (7 euro per wasbeurt), en we mochten niet zelf het wasmachine opzetten. Het zwembad en de tuin waren wel zeer aangenaam en een goede buurt! We hebben ervan genoten.
5It is a beautiful place. The host was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely consider this place for my next visit to Cape Town.
