4Wir waren schon einige Male in diesem Haus, da wir die Lage mitten in Scarborough sehr mögen und uns sehr willkommen und sicher fühlen. Die Mitarbeiter von CVC sind äußerst hilfsbereit, freundlich und antworten immer sofort.
Wir würden uns wünschen, dass die Unterkunft ein wenig modernisiert werden würde, da zb die Küche, die Couch und die Böden in den Dusche etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind. Auch gemütlichere Liegen auf der Terrasse draußen wären schön.
Wir freuen uns dennoch sehr auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt.

5We loved our stay – the house is beautiful and the layout well thought out. The pool and trampoline were lovey for the kids, and it’s an easy walk to the beach and the village hub. CVC were professional with clear communication and great responsiveness, and we also appreciated our welcome pack. We hope to be back soon!
5Wir sind zum zweiten Mal mit unseren drei Kindern in Egrets Place gewesen. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr sehr wohl, das Haus ist groß und geräumig, sehr sauber, die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Lage ist für uns absolut perfekt. Candy und ihr Team sind tolle Gastgeber und wir freuen uns aufs näschte Mal!
5Photos and description online fall short of the experience. The open floor space and indoor-outdoor space harmony is seamless. Access to the beach is easy. House superseded our expectations.
Host was kind and thoughtful. We could feel more fortunate to have chosen Egret Place. We were here two years ago, and we regretted our past accommodations. We will be back.
3The house has fantastic design and a prime location, which we had long anticipated. However, at this price point, we expected more. A malfunctioning alarm went off multiple times in the middle of the night (2 a.m.), disrupting our sleep, and it took two days to fix. The furniture is worn, and the house was poorly stocked, with cheap, deteriorating kitchen utensils. While the potential is there, it needs better upkeep and attention to detail.
5Wir sind als Familie mit drei kleinen Töchtern nach Scarborough gereist und kannten das Haus von außen bereits aus den letzten Jahren. Es hat all unsere Erwartungen erfüllt, wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Für uns war das Haus absolut perfekt und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

5The property was amazing, better than we were expecting based on the photos. Candy was an incredible host, personally dealing with check-in and check-out. She was helpful, responsive and engaging and took a genuine interest in out family and making sure we had an enjoyable holiday. I would highly recommend both the property and Candy as a host.

5We loved our family get away in Scarborough. So chilled and relaxed. The house is a real treat, and it is perfect for a mid winter get away. It’s a little sun trap, warm and cosy with everything you could want or need. We loved the fun art everywhere. The beds are wonderful comfy. Our family of 5 had a gorgeous stay, playing games and reading, skating, biking, surfing, beach walking and exploring all the rock pools. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The proximity to the beach is perfect. The local restaurants and shop up the road are a boon with all their delicious offerings and yummy coffee. We can definitely recommend staying here and will be back for sure. Thank you.

The Kitchen and livingspace is really generously and everything is there for a relaxed stay. The bedrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable.
The gardenspace is perfect for a sunny coffee in the morning a a wine in the evening.

5A well located and beautiful holiday house, we had a great long weekend.
3The location of this house is fantastic, right on the street that leads from Main Rd (M65) to the beach. Far enough from Main Rd, but beware that the cars heading to the beach in the early morning pass right in front of the house (and therefore the windows of the main bedroom).
The house itself has clearly been done up in a made-for-Airbnb style by an interior designer with a lot of art and other decor. If this is your style, then great. But if you are looking for a more homely “beach cottage” feel, then rather look elsewhere.
Our main issue was the temperature in the house (it was a very sunny week in late March). The large windows in the kitchen/dining areas don’t have blinds, and the pergola in front of the large glass sliding doors has been removed (this is visible on the pictures). There is no parasol outside. If you are going during late autumn or spring, you will probably be ok. But if it’s in summer, it may end up being quite hot.
5We loved our stay at the house which is stylish, modern and very comfortable. The kids loved the outdoor trampoline and saltwater pool and the fact that the beach is just 1 min away. We can highly recommend it!
5Incredibly thought out living and homely space. The home is well equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure comfort of stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and provide for an extremely good rest. The entertainment patio, braai area, pool and trampoline was a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
5We had a lovely few days in Scarborough. Despite the weather not being 100s, the house is perfectly positioned for protection from the wind and we continued to braai, swim, etc. The house is much bigger than we anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. It’s a perfect location for walking to your favourite spots for dinner, coffee, a surf and sundowners on the rocks. Our girls enjoyed being able to skateboard from the front door too! We would definitely consider coming back again soon.
