This minimalistic Simon's Town holiday house has 4 en-suite bedrooms and is designed to accommodate 8 persons. The architectural design was for a holiday home & is intentionally minimalist with exposed concrete, lime-washed wood, galvanised metal & touches of bright colour.
The owner, and designer, is a famous architect.
It's relatively protected from prevailing winds and has great views of the yacht basin; romantic picture all times of the day. You can walk down to the Simon's Town village but if you walk back, its a very steep climb.
This holiday house in Simon's Town was designed to optimise the sunny views to the North across False Bay and is planned on 4 accommodation levels:
At Lower Garden level is the garage and 2 bedrooms with en-suite shower-rooms.
Bedrooms: Both bedrooms accommodate twin single beds. These bedrooms have blinds and the green room has garden access.
The entrance level is the living floor, with glass sliding doors that disappear into the walls to open up to the balcony and to the balcony, garden & pool. (There is a guest/pool wc on the first landing up from this level.)
The First Floor accommodates the main bedroom, study, dressing room and en-suite with both shower & bath.The baby cot is located in the dressing room cupboard.
The Second Floor accommodates a further double bedroom with a sleeper couch and bath en-suite.
Pool is beautiful with a decent volume of water.

5The stay was absolutely amazing. The views are truly breathtaking, the pictures simply don’t do them justice. Waking up to that scenery each day was easily one of the highlights of the trip. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication was excellent throughout. The hosts were very responsive and consistently answered any questions I had during my stay, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. The only minor consideration is that Simon’s Town is a bit removed from the main areas, but if you don’t mind a short commute, it’s not an issue at all. Transportation was easy to arrange, and getting around was very manageable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience with incredible views.

4What an absolutely beautiful home. It has everything you need — clean, well-equipped, and with excellent communication throughout. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars (I wish 4.5 was an option!) is due to the small single beds in the twin rooms, which were unfortunately not very comfortable. Upgrading these to hotel-quality three-quarter beds would make a big difference. Otherwise, phenomenal and highly recommended…
5What a beautiful house, the picture doesn’t even fully capture the beauty. We had an amazing time as a family. Every one loved the place. The views overlooking the ocean absolutely breath taking 😍. Aureol was amazing, kept on checking up on us to see if we needed anything. The cherry 🍒 on top was the flexible check out times. We had a late flight✈️ . I I will definitely recommend this place.

Sinon le logement est très propre très spacieux et avec une vue à couper le souffle si nous devions revenir en Afrique du Sud, nous reviendrons sûrement dans ce logement.

5We had the most amazing time at the house! It is beautiful with stunning views from every angle, we didn’t want to leave! It was spotless and had everything we needed.
It is easy to get to, and we felt extremely safe. It’s also close to all of the beautiful beaches and scenic drives, as well as central Cape Town if you plan to head to Table Mountain and V & A waterfront etc. it is about an hour which is fine, and a beautiful drive along the cliffs!
I would highly recommend this house and we would definitely book it again ?.

5Aureol was a charming and most informative host. She met us on our arrival and was always available when we needed her. The house has wonderful views of the harbour and the rooms are comfortable. All the machinery in the kitchen worked well.
The baboons are noticeable so guests need to be aware, but we didn’t have a problem. A wonderful stay enjoyed by all.

5This house is wonderful! The views are even better than the pictures! The house interior is well stocked with basics, including kitchen staples like coffee and cooking oil. The bedrooms and living room were comfortable. The pool is placed so that you can admire the view while soaking. The manager was responsive to questions and always happy to help. We would definitely stay here again!

Außerdem war Sie jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Das Haus ist großartig. Der kleine Garten mit dem Pool und Aussicht sind herrlich. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet und bietet genug Platz und Möglichkeiten, um in der Küche zu kochen und zu entspannen in den Zimmern. Das Haus hat einen direkten Zugang zur Garage, was es leicht macht, wenn man einkaufen war.

5Insgesamt war die Unterkunft sehr zufriedenstellend. Es liegt zwar etwas abgelegen, aber dafür hat man seine Ruhe und mit dem Auto kann man innerhalb von 5min zum Strand oder Stadt fahren.

5We have just returned from a wonderful two week holiday. Three generations stayed in the house, we travelled from the UK and my husband’s parents joined us from Joburg. The house did not disappoint, it’s just as lovely as the photos, and the view is exceptional!
The house was spotlessly clean, gardens beautifully maintained, everything you might want or need is there. The beds were comfortable and the linen was lovely.
Our host Aeureol could not have been more helpful, and we appreciated the load shedding updates and her suggestions of local places to visit. Load shedding was never an issue during our stay.
Simon’s Town itself is quaint and really pretty with some good restaurants. The area is quiet and we felt totally comfortable.
We travelled around a lot, the roads are great and we also used a local taxi and Uber whilst there.
I have no criticisms, request for some mirrors and small dressing tables in guest rooms. The BBQ/Braai is a little tired.
We’d love to return!!!!

5Outstanding views from a lovely home in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. Aureol was a fantastic host who gave us update info on load shedding every day and responded very quickly to any queries. Lots of good suggestions for things to do, places to eat etc. Also plenty of games in the house. We were a party of 7 adults and the house was well equipped for that number. Some furniture could do with replacing but very comfortable.
5We stayed for 5 nights as family with 4 children (9-14 yrs) and absolutely loved it! The view is magnificent, the pool is great and the neighborhood is very safe. The location Simons Town suited us very well. We spent two day trips walking trails and beaches on the peninsula and two day trips to cape town, driving the beautiful chapmans peak every time. We had most dinners in the house, usually grilling and enjoying the view. Aureol is very helpful! Highly recommended!

5Words will fail me if I have to write about this establishment and its host Aureol. From our first day of booking this house, checking in, our stay and checking out, we have been treated like royalty. I have never seen such a friendly and helpful host like Aureol, the lady made us feel at home at all times. She responded to our messages within minutes. The house is so beautiful with everything you need, it’s really a home away from home. Oooh, my daughter saw baking utensils and immediately baked upon the first day of our arrival. The neighbourhood is so quiet that we could not even believe it was festive season, main reason why we didn’t book in Cape Town was because we wanted a quiet place, and this one gave us exactly what we were looking for. The uphill to and from the house made our morning jogs exciting.
The only turn of was the beds in other rooms, they need to be replaced. You could hear if your neighbour is turning next room?other than that, 100% rating to this house

Aureol the host was outstanding in caring for our needs, kind and helpful always. She responded within minutes to any question we asked. When a local water pipe burst leaving the area without water, she quickly delivered bottled water to our door.
Only down side was several large spiders and insects that found their way into the downstairs bedrooms, on the garden/garage level.
Otherwise everything about this place was great and we had a wonderful stay. Thanks Aureol and team for making everything so nice.

4The house was very clean and beautiful, exactly the same as the pictures and even more beautiful! But its location is very far from Cape Town and the road is winding with tall mountains and a bad road. Therefore, if you are a tourist, I suggest that you live at Table Mountain or a place closer to Cape Town. I also came home in August and we arrived at the house and it was freezing and the heating was very bad.

5Fantastic house – stunning views, within walking distance to cafes, the harbour and beaches. Walking back up is fairly strenuous but fine for most people. Easy parking at the house so you can drive down and up if needed. House is really well equipped and laid out, nice and simple, and great pool. We will definitely be coming back!

We had great weather, so we spent most of our time lounging in the pool overlooking the harbor and the bayside…what a view it is! Its in close proximity to a bunch of quint restaurants and the mall. 5This is one of the most beautiful holiday houses I’ve seen and at such a reasonable price its almost unbelievable. Not only was it beautiful and absolutely clean they catered for the unexpected, beach towels and basic food items they went beyond my expectations. I would recommend in a heartbeat and am looking forward to more stays with you.
