Wine House is a newly built luxury Simon's Town self catering holiday home sleeping 6 for people who want a classy home with great views.
As you walk in you see the view past the spacious dining area and the lounge. The high ceilings add to the airiness of this comfortable home.
On the top level you will find the kitchen, a guest toilet, master bedroom (with queen sized bed), dining room and lounge as well as the patio - with stunning views over False Bay.
The other 2 bedrooms (one with queen sized bed and one with singles) are on the lower level.
All 3 rooms are en-suite. Plus guest toilet.
This luxury Simon's Town self-catering holiday home has been tastefully decorated and fitted with everything you will need from this home away from home.
It's located in a suburb of Simon's Town looking out over the yacht basis and SA Navy. The view on the bay is the its best feature.
At night time the small villages light up along the edge of the bay. It's like diamonds. And if you are a morning person you'll be woken by sunrises only seen here.
The deck is fitted with sun chairs, large umbrella, dining area and braai.

5Great views and very comfortable. we arrived the night of the 70 to 100km winds and had constant communication with Aureol checking in with us. we found the home, clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, etc.

5Winehouse has the most incredible view over Simonstown – we will miss the noise of the bosuns whistles from the ships in harbour! Very comfortable home with a very well equipped kitchen, it was perfect for our family of 6. We would highly recommend Winehouse and I’m sure we will return!

Now the home , situated high above Simons Town bay giving panoramic views across False Bay. The Naval shipyard on all its glory in front and centre basking it’s its heritage was beautiful . Sitting on a wonderful balcony that is substantial was a lovely way to start or end the day in sunshine. Or a cheeky day off on the Sunloungers ☀️☀️
The property inside is perfect for a family or separate couples like us as the bedrooms are split over 2 floors giving the perfect situation and Privacy.
3 bedrooms , 2 of them downstairs that gave us a spare room for dressing xx
The Quality of the home is wonderful with the Open living and a Loft feel , wooden floors and big comfortable furniture to watch TV on.
I cannot recommend this property enough and the future looks even better with a

5This is a huge place, 6 people could comfortably stay which makes it excellent value. All bedrooms are en-suite. The terrace is lovely and affords awesome views across false bay. It’s quiet, secure and peaceful as well as spotlessly clean and well equipped. We’ve had a fantastic, very relaxing time and would highly recommend this place. Don’t miss the many gorgeous walks in the area! Hopefully we’ll be back for another warm welcome by Aureol.

5Lovely house with superb views!
We appreciated that the entrance is on the same level as the living area, main bedroom, and kitchen—this saved us from climbing too many steps, which can be an issue in houses built on mountainsides.
We cannot praise our hostess, Aureol, highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she responded to and dealt with any request immediately.
The furnishings and equipment are certainly adequate, though not luxurious. However, we didn’t lack anything and appreciated the thoughtful basics that were provided—very useful for anyone self-catering and cooking at home.
The braai could use an upgrade, but we managed fine.
We do have two requests for Elmarie & Nandi at CapeHolidays for next time:
(1) A house accommodating six people definitely needs more than one set of keys.
(2) Having a change of linen on-site is absolutely essential,please consider having a stock of more than two sets of linen per house. ?
All in all, highly recommended accomodation!
5We every much enjoyed our stay here. Aureol was so lovely and friendly and made all the instructions so clear for us. The house was amazing, squeaky clean, with everything in working order, and such beautiful views. Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay here again.
5Fantastic place to stay in Simon’s Town. So much space and fully equipped, even had a cool box and beach towels. Aureol was lovely and met us to show us round. The patio area had beautiful views over the bay. We walked up to Just Nuisance grave and went round the naval museum. Even mangaged to have a couple of swims in the sea! Lighthouse Cafe was excellent food for dinner.

5We spent an incredible few nights at this perfect spot. The view is stunning, and if you are feeling adventurous there is a little road that goes a short way up the mountain (behind the houses) and has a spectacular view of all the bays! it’s super peaceful, but be careful when you leave the sliding doors open as the baboons in that area are not shy and will happily come inside. If you’re going in a group of 5 or 6, I would recommend drawing straws for the 2 singles room.

5This house is absolutely stunning. It became home to us in the three weeks we spent there. We needed to relax and catch up on much needed rest and relaxation. Early mornings with a cup of coffee outside while watching the sunrise, evenings with a glass of wine and the fireplace going, it really was heaven on earth. 5We spent a wonderful 10 days at Nandi and Elmarie’s place. The house was clean, spacious and well located. The views were exceptional and we spent many hours on the large patio overlooking the ocean. The house had everything we needed and was close to many lovely restaurants and tourist attractions. Aureol (host) is amazing, she kept me up to date daily with any pertinent information as far as load shedding schedule. Home had all the essentials you could need , just disappointed with the temp of the hot water in showers , it was lukewarm at best and we were told not much can be done as the geysers are “regulated”. In winter after a long day hiking this was definitely a downer.
Also the lady arrived 10mins prior to check out time , so the last bit of our packing up ended felt stressful.
Other than that the place had stunning views , apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. Would stay here again if water heater is improved.
5The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The uncapped wifi that is very effective was a bonus for the boys. Oh our host – Aureol is so warm and welcoming, she allowed us space to enjoy the house and was very helpful with things to do in Cape Town. Our suggestion will be to put blankets in each room for some of us from the North ?, not used to Cape Town wheather.
5Wow, perfect place to base our family for our 3 week holiday. Kitchen is well equipped, fireplace is fantastic on cold days, rooms lovely and roomy with sufficient storage. Comfortably accommodates 6 adults. The dining table is a lovely place to bring the family for a home cooked meal. Monique the host is wonderful to work with and is very helpful. Great place to stay, will definitely consider returning for our next trip.
